Forging Process Of Track Chain/Link
At present, there are two main processes to produce excavator track chain links, one is casting and the other is forging.
Here, let’s briefly introduce the forging process.
Firstly, the bar material is heated and then placed on the mould of NC forging hammer for forging. After initial forging and precision forging, it can be forged to track link for excavator directly.
The speed of NC forging hammer is fast, and the shape variable of forged track chain assy is high, which fully changes the internal structure of excavator chain link and increases the density of forging. There will be no loose structure, coarse grain, shrinkage porosity, porosity and other problems. Therefore, the forged excavator track chain link has higher hardness and stronger wear resistance.
