The main function of the excavator seal kits is to prevent leakage, absorb impact energy, muffler, heat insulation, insulation and so on.
The main function of excavator seal kits as below:
1)Prevent leakage, das ist, prevent the material (roll or gas) in the closed container or pipeline from leaking between the adjacent joint surface, and prevent impurities (Sand, water, usw.) from external intrusion.
2)Absorbing impact energy: The fasteners of mechanical equipment have higher friction torsional torque, and maintain good locking effect under the condition of long time vibration and impact.
3)Muffler, heat insulation, insulation to stop or at least reduce the external energy transfer to the seal layer, so as to play the role of muffler, heat insulation and insulation.

The Piston Ring is also called the piston ring rotary seal.This kind of excavator seal kits relies on the elastic force of the metal piston ring sealing ring itself to closely fit the sealed surface, so as to seal the sealing medium, which is called the piston ring sealing ring or the rotating sealing ring.
The injection characteristics of piston ring sealing ring are:
1)Good pressure performance, wide range of working jade force, generally 20 mpa, piston diameter is less than 600 mm, the highest working pressure can reach 32 mpa.
2)Reliable work, long life.
3)Small friction resistance.
4)With good temperature resistance, suitable for a wide temperature range, generally 200.
5)Wear compensation ability is strong.
6)Piston rings made of graphite or filled with PTFE and other self-lubricating materials can run without oil.
7)Due to the opening, there is a certain amount of leakage. It is suitable for reciprocating motion seal and rotary motion seal, such as all kinds of piston compressor, rolling cylinder and motor piston or plunger seal.

What factors are related to the excavator seal kits effect?
1.The size and accuracy of the sealing groove;
2.The roughness of the contact surface;
3.The size of the sealing gap;
4.The structure and size of the sealing device itself;
5.The sharpness and integrity of the sealing lip;
6.the size of the compression amount;
7.The performance of sealing materials, especially the resistance to media, elasticity, hardness and permanent deformation performance;
8.The assembly quality is good or bad;
The above several situations may lead to poor sealing effect, sealing effect is good or bad.So, it’s very important to choice good quality of seal and gasket for excavator.
